2012年10月13日，澳大利亞科廷大學(xué)科廷商學(xué)院Ronald D. Ripple教授應(yīng)邀訪問北京理工大學(xué)管理與經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院、能源與環(huán)境政策研究中心，并作主題為“Natural Gas Markets of the World”的學(xué)術(shù)報告。報告由管理與經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院院長、能源與環(huán)境政策研究中心主任魏一鳴教授主持，部分研究生和校外研究人員參加了報告會。
報告中，Ripple教授就全球天然氣分布、天然氣消費(fèi)情況、頁巖氣技術(shù)發(fā)展現(xiàn)狀等問題同與會者進(jìn)行了分享和探討。Ripple教授此次訪問為期三周，并將于10月20日和10月27日作主題為“Energy Derivatives”的報告。
Ronald D. Ripple教授簡介：
Ripple教授于美國賓夕法尼亞州立大學(xué)獲得金融學(xué)學(xué)士及經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)碩士學(xué)位，并于1988年獲得俄勒岡大學(xué)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)博士學(xué)位。2008年起，供職于澳大利亞科廷大學(xué)科廷商學(xué)院?，F(xiàn)任科廷大學(xué)能源與礦產(chǎn)經(jīng)濟(jì)研究中心 (CREME)主任。曾在能源市場、金融衍生品等領(lǐng)域發(fā)表多篇論文并出版學(xué)術(shù)專著。
Professor of Energy Economics; Director, Centre for Research in Energy and Minerals Economics (CREME); Academic Coordinator, Australian Centre for Natural Gas Management, Curtin Business School, Curtin University. Professor Ripple joined Curtin University in August 2008 following six years with the Department of Economics at Macquarie University in Sydney, including one year as Head of Department. He got his doctoral degree in Economics at University of Oregon in 1988; M.A. in Economics at The Pennsylvania State University in 1980; and B.S. in Finance at The Pennsylvania State University, 1975. Ron has studied the economics of energy markets and the financial derivatives markets that play such an important role in this vital sector of the economy. Professor Ripple has published numerous academic papers, trade press articles, energy industry reports, and book chapters.
